JI NASH-21. GOSHU JI NASHI NISHAKU ISSUN KAN, B. IVORY UTAGUCHI. ¥350000.

Excellent qualityShinShu omote bamboo harvested in 1983, somewhat squarish in cross section with the finger holes aligned along the flat side at the front of the bamboo. Very suitable circumference for this length, with rather thicker bamboo walls contributing to the honkyoku-like tone. Extremely well-made flute. Very responsive and well tuned. Anyone who normally plays jiari shakuhachi, but who would like to enjoy the softer sound of a jinashi flute would really benefit from this one.
